His resultant contact with tourists both foreign and domestic inspired Colin to start his own private tour operating business, Winelands Guide in 2016. Offering a wide variety of personalized tours for both individuals and groups of up to 23 people, Colin’s passion for South Africa’s wine and tourism industries is unmatched!
He has been working in the wine and tourism industries for over a decade now, and has obtained his Wine Certificate through the Cape Wine Academy, as well as completed tourism and tour guide management courses in both 2009, and, in an effort to keep up with the times, again in 2017.

The tour was great, many things to see. Our guide, Prince was fantastic! He started by taking us to a local coffee shop in Cape Town called True. After that he gave us a tour of Bookaap, a residential area that is a must see to understand part of the history. I can't say enough about how Prince was able to combine our wishes with the standard parts of the tour. I can highly recommend the tour and Prince.

We enjoyed the day very much. We had a kind guide who knew a lot. We enjoyed the beautiful Chapmans Peak drive, the pinguins and two different winetastings in the area of Stellenbosch. On the route to the winelands we passed some big Town Ships. It was good to get some more background information! So a big thank you to our guide Tom!
