My highlights were meeting local people during a guided walking tour of the community and the Hector Pieterson museum. My 13 year old daughter and I were visiting family in the city and I wanted her to be able to experience the unique history and atmosphere of Johannesburg. I booked a group tour for us, but it turned out that we were the only two to book that day, so we got a free upgrade to a private tour! Our guide, Clemont, was very knowledgable and was able to answer all of my questions throughout the day. It was an 8 hour day and I feel that it allowed us to see a lot of important places.
