More about Family Combo Panthera Africa

One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment plays a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. We are a true sanctuary where no cub petting, breeding or trading takes place.

On our educational visits, you have the chance of capturing photographs of the big cats in their beautiful Natural homes and get to know about their unique stories, in addition to the important facts about the species and their different situations. We strongly believe in the importance of educating you about animal welfare and conservation, so together with a staff member, you will be taken for a lovely walk whilst admiring the beautiful cats.

We ask you kindly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit.

We look forward to sharing our dream with you, and introducing you to our four-legged friends!

Opinions On Family Combo Panthera Africa

What the locals say about Family Combo Panthera Africa.

LMJ Nxumalo

We truly enjoyed the trip to Panthera. It was very enlightening, and made us realise how traumatic the lives of many of the big cats kept in captivity can be. We will definitely be going back there in future. The host was also great and took time to share the lives of the individual cats and what they have been going through.

Jane Rivera

This tour was certainly an eye opener and gave our family a much better understanding of what it takes to raise these beautiful creatures in a sanctuary environment. We loved everything about Panthera and have massive respect for the work they do. We are excited to learn of new plans and will be back to visit on our next trip to Hermanus.

Hagay Fainberg

We had a great visit at Panthera. We learned a lot and we had a great time Thank you very much

Gal Brill

A great learning experience, not only about the magestic cats but also about the tourism industry and it's affects on the animals in Africa. Thanks to the tour our perspective changed. Sydney explained the history of Panthera, the key information about the animals and the personal story of each cat. It was easy to tell that she truly cared and that educating the public was a passion of hers. Highly recommend.
