Our wine lords (guides) have collected more than 50 years of experience in the tourism industry – knowing exactly what travelers really want. We visit premium wine estates, but also do things that no ordinary tours do, that only South Africans get to enjoy.
We visit 5 different wine estates (famous farms and some hidden gems only known to locals). Pair a variety of locally produced, world-class cheeses. Cellar and vineyard tour, teaching us how wine is made, how to taste wine, food and wine pairing, what bottle to order at restaurants… A hearty lunch is served in the middle of the wine lands. A diverse range of wine styles: whites, sparkling, reds, dessert wines. Local treats of cured meats paired with selected wines. Artisanal chocolate (Fairtrade accredited) paired with different wines.

I thought the first and second wineries we visited were amazing. Good introduction to South African wines in the first one (Simonsig) and the second (Mitre) was awesome. The pace was good and the information was great. I got a real sense of why we were there. I thought lunch was good but the wine we got there wasn't explained at all. I'm not sure I could tell you the name of that winery and I'm not sure we met anyone from the winery. The last place (can't remember the name at the moment) was a good finish. Lots of different wines available.

My son and joined a small group (7 total) for a day winery tours and tastings. Our guide Julian made the day so enjoyable and memorable with his warm personality, funny anecdotes and genuine friendly approach.
