Advantage Cruiser is best known for its thrilling activities on Lake St Lucia and the open ocean. A two-hour trip on our luxury double-decker passenger ferry, led by enthusiastic guides, allows guests to admire the views and maybe encounter hippos, crocodiles, prolific birdlife, dolphins and whales.
Established in 1991 by Danie and Riëtte Bennett, Advantage Cruiser has permits to be within 50m of the whales. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service and standards of safety. We offer everything from whale watching to deep-sea fishing and laidback boat cruises

We had a wonderful morning on the St Lucia Estuary viewing hippos, baby crocodiles, and birdlife - including watching a darter catch and eventually swallow a fish that looked far too big. The skipper was incredibly knowledgeable, and the crew were pleasant and attentive. Thank you!

It was our fifth time on an Advantage whale watching trip at St Lucia. We had an adrenaline pumping launch after the mist had lifted, the waves came in fast but Shaun handled it so well that we felt safe and even enjoyed the launch. He also showed us a Manta ray that was coming to the boat. We went with Josh on Free spirit, lot of breaching activity at a distance, he took us closer to enjoy the whales close to the boat. We also saw flying fish and dolphins that were swimming next to us after Josh had "called" them by clapping on the side of the boat! Our big moment was when we saw a baby whale of a few hours old breaching and playing close to the boat. The skippers kept on giving interesting info about the whales, they enjoyed every sighting with us and went out of their way to make it an unforgetable experience! The whales will see us again!!
