Wildlife experiences and educational tours at a primate sanctuary at Hartebeespoort Dam in Bojanala-Eastern Region.
The Monkey sanctuary is one of several sanctuaries in a group of sanctuaries, including the elephant sanctuary that provides for orphaned and abused animals. Situated west of Hartbeesport Dam alongside the Elephant sanctuary it provides an environment where monkeys (primates) can be given their freedom in a natural environment. The sanctuary situated in one of the many Kloofs (Gorges) of the Magaliesberg mountain range provides the perfect environment for Monkeys from around the world.
Tours of the Monkey Sanctuary take place seven days a week, and are led by knowledgeable guides through indigenous forests on elevated wooden walkways, past waterfalls and even through the treetops.

most amazing and pleasant experience. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and were even lucky enough to have close encounters with the monkeys. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something to do while visiting South Africa :)

Absoluut fantasties gewees. Die aanskouing van die apies so naby mens, is iets uit die wereld. Mens voel amper deel van die bos-lewe. Die toergids was ook baie proffessioneel en baie vriendellik. Amazing en beveel dit beslis aan vir toeriste.
