Walking with the elephants at the Sanctuary was a true highlight of our holiday in South Africa. We were a family party of eight, including two children aged 4 and 7. The guide was informative and helpful and he and the handlers made sure we had the opportunity to get up close to the elephants, feed them and find out what an elephant felt like! They spent a lot of time with the children, making sure they joined in all aspects of the experience. We have the most wonderful photos and video to bring back to the UK! The Sanctuary is doing great work and its staff deserve credit for the way they allow visitors to meet the elephants safely - and learn about them at the same time.

We never thought we could be so close to such wonderful and gentle creatures, after all we had heard of how dangerous African elephants can be. A big thank you to the keepers for their care and attention, and for the memorable photographs.
