Very well organised experience and not too zoo-like. Well informed handlers and humorous lead guide. Quite an experience to walk through the trees hand in trunk with an African elephant. The welfare of the elephants is at the heart of this project and it comes over clearly.

This was my first experience close up with elephants and a memorable one. The staff were friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. The walking with the elephants, the feeding and the touching whilst learning about them was fantastic. Then having been unobtrusively filmed, to come back to the seating area and watch your experience was quite overwhelming. I don't think I can quite explain in words how enjoyable this was. This is an experience I shall never forget - thank you

We had a great time at the Elephant Tour, including a Q&A on Elephant biology and facts about their life cycle and populations. Of course the highlight is getting close up to these wonderful creatures and the walk-although short- was a rewarding experience. We didn't want to ride the animals, although some did, but we can see the work that has gone into the rescue of the elephants and making their lives comfortable after such terrible shocks that they endured. Their handlers have a very strong bond with their partnered elephant. Only one suggestion- each handler and guide tips are separate so its best to come with a range of lower denomination Rand notes. Thanks to all at the Elephant Sanctuary.
