Dyer Island Cruises proudly offers a unique Marine Big 5 Safari in the picturesque fishing town of Gansbaai, nestled in the Overberg region. During whale season you may well see all 5, being, the Southern Right Whale, Great White Shark, Seals, Penguins and dolphins.
Founded in 2000 by Wilfred Chivell as the first-whale watching business in the region. Dyer Island Cruises is a leader in its field and has made great contributions to marine conservation as well as unrivaled knowledge of the marine eco-systems in the area.

I was very disappointed in the tour and would not do it again. It took between 5 and 6 hours in a van to get to and from the tour. If I had known that I would not have gone. It was said to be a whale watching and birding tour. We saw one whale, although all we saw was a dorsal fin, no head or fluke. The only birds we saw weee gullls - - saltwater pigeons. The lunch was a cup of soup and a roll. The sound from the mic was filled with static and garbled. And the cost was expensive.

One of the most amazing experiences of my whole trip to South Africa. It is not just another tourist attraction but they do the research about marine life as well as protection of the wild animals of the ocean. I really valued their explanations, and enjoyed every minute on their boat to see 3 different kinds of dolphins, sunfish, whale, sharks, seals and penguins.... When we returned back I just wished to do the tour once again! Thank you everyone....
