We had a lovely trip on Ceres Rail to Simon's Town. Comfortable carriages, with a lovely selection in the bar and snack carriages. We were always informed of where we were and what was happening. Lovely conversations with informed, knowledgeable and well skilled staff.

Unforgettable family experience. Everything was handled so professionally and easily. All we had to do was book, show up, and enjoy the scenic steam train ride to Simon's Town. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The train carriages and locomotive are so beautifully cared for, it really feels like you're being transported back in time. The actual train journey was also incredibly fun, a good way to slow down and spend time with the family, and take in the beautiful surroundings of the Cape. I highly recommend this for the whole family!

Extremely pleasant. Excellent friendly staff. Chairs very comfortable. Bar attendees could be a little rowdy at times but that is the nature of sitting in a bar area!
