Self Drive in Cape Town by Stoked Surf School
Two-hours of private surf coaching at one of Cape Town’s most suitable surfing beaches.
These private surf lessons can be tailored for beginner surfers who prefer learning outside of a general group environment or intermediate surfers wanting to improve specific skills.
This option ensures exclusivity for the individual or group with a coach especially assigned to cater for your individual needs.
Note:Participants 6-16 years are required to book a private lesson when booking with us. Private lessons can be booked for 1 person or a group wanting exclusivity.
If you have previous surfing experience and wish to improve on your skills, kindly inform us at the time of booking so we can update your coach.
Our headquarters are located in Camps Bay so that we have easy accessibility to both coastlines of the Peninsula. Lessons take place at the most suitable beach depending on the conditions on the day of your booking. We check the forecast on several reliable sources and combine this information with our local knowledge to decide where we will coach each day.
We consider factors such as wind, tides, swell direction, and ocean temperatures before making our decision to provide the safest and most enjoyable experience.

Me and my buddy went for a 2 hour private lesson with the transfer included. Tremendous and friendly experience. We had Henry(?!) as our instructor and he was really ambitious and adjusting from our level of surfing which resulted in shorter brief and more surfing. Loved it, highly recommended

The guys from Stoked are really lovely - very friendly and enthusiastic but not at all condescending. They clearly adore surfing and just want others to love it too.
