More about Honey Experience (Half Day)

Join our professional beekeeper in the field and get to experience how to extract honey from the hives.

Honey experience half day consists of a morning out in the field, in a complete bee kit. You will be in the field with a bee keeper working on the bee hives, taking out the honey and learning more about bees.

Experience the way honey is made and how they go about making honey and how honey can have various undertones, like citrus etc Protecting their queen and how their life styles work. You will see bees in their normal habitat making honey. When booking the half day honey experience you will meet your guide at reception from their you will get suited up in your safety gear and boots.

You will then make your way to the bee hives, that is situated in the Nature Reserve, to keep the bees in their natural habitat and close to their food.

You will then work on the bee hives, extracting honey and learning more about the bees and their way of living.

We keep our boxes in natural areas so the bees keep their lives as natural as possible, you will notice that the boxes are situated in various areas, the reason there for are so the bees stay close to their food source.

But after the honey extraction you will go back to reception, kit off and have a lovely honey based lunch, with honey as the main ingredient.
