The Kruger Sunrise Safari operates daily throughout the year, subject to availability, Kruger National Park operating hours and operational conditions. One Daily Departure January – March 05:30 – 08:30 April – September 06:00 – 09:00 October – December 05:30 – 08:30 There is one Sunrise Safari departure per day only. Departure times follow the seasonal opening times of Kruger National Park entrance gates. Exact guest collection times may be earlier than the safari departure time depending on the location of the guest's accommodation and the entrance gate being used.

Start Location: Collection from selected hotels, lodges and agreed meeting points within the designated Mthunzi Safaris collection area surrounding Kruger National Park. The exact collection point and pickup time will be confirmed with the guest before the safari. Guests staying outside the standard collection area should contact Mthunzi Safaris in advance. Additional transfer charges may apply. End Location: Guests are returned to the same hotel, lodge or agreed meeting point after completion of the safari, unless an alternative drop-off location has been arranged and confirmed in advance.

The safari operates in most normal weather conditions. As the safari takes place in an open safari vehicle, guests should be prepared for changing temperatures and weather conditions. Early mornings can be particularly cold during the winter months, while summer mornings may become warm quickly after sunrise. The safari route, departure time or activity may be adjusted where necessary due to severe weather, unsafe road conditions, park restrictions or other circumstances that may affect guest safety. In the event that conditions make it unsafe to operate, guests will be advised accordingly.

Comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the season is recommended. Guests should wear comfortable closed or secure footwear and dress in layers where possible. A warm jacket, fleece or windbreaker is strongly recommended, particularly during the cooler winter months, as early mornings in an open safari vehicle can be cold. During warmer months, lightweight clothing, a hat and sun protection are recommended. Neutral or natural-coloured clothing is ideal but not compulsory.

The safari is suitable for adults, families and children. Children 0–11 years: Child rate applies. Guests 12 years and older: Adult rate applies. Children must travel with a responsible adult at all times. Children under 8 years of age joining a shared open-vehicle safari are subject to prior approval. Depending on the child's age and circumstances, a private safari or closed vehicle may be recommended. Only confirmed booked guests may participate in the safari. Non-paying spectators are not permitted in the safari vehicle. Guests should advise Mthunzi Safaris in advance of any mobility limitations or other requirements that may affect their ability to comfortably participate in an open-vehicle safari.
