More about Shark Cage Diving

Our Shark Cage Diving trips take place from the Kleinbaai harbour in the fishing town Gansbaai. Gansbaai is about 160 km from Cape Town and it takes about 2 hours 30 min by road. Although Gansbaai is known as the White Shark Capital of the World, the most common shark seen on our trip is the Bronze Whaler Shark – also known as the Copper Shark (Carcharhinus brachyurus)

Of course one also have good chance to see a White Shark as Gansbaai is indeed one of the best places in the world to see the White Sharks It is important to note that our times of operation depend on tides, weather and sea conditions, so the timing arrangements can change.

The organization and equipment were good. The guide tell us alot information about sharks. But we didn't see a big white shark, it was very sad. We saw only bronze sharks. I think that the price of this trip is too expensive for such result.

the experience was amazing, the drive there was scenic and beautiful, the car broke down on our way there but they sent another to collect us. we got some wet suits and a light snack on arrival, given the collection time l would have hoped they had a proper breakfast so l recommend eating a good breakfast before hand because its also a long drive. the team was very welcoming and they explained the procedures very well. we all got equal opportunities to get in the cage and see the sharks that was an experience of a life time. also got vegetable soup and bread when we returned which was also very disappointing given we had not had any meals all day. will definitely send my guests to them but will advise on a packed lunch and breakfast.
