More about Durban City Tour

The Durban City Tour is an ideal introduction to Durban, South Africa’s most cosmopolitan city with a cultural diversity that includes African, Asian and European flavours, a true representation of our rainbow nation. Durban was so named in 1835 after Sir Benjamin D’Urban, the governor of the Cape.

Your tour starts after we collect you and set off to reveal the heart of Durban as we drive along the “Golden Mile” beach front to the harbour, one of South Africa’s busiest harbours. You’ll visit the diverse and beauty of a true Durban Market, that offer all types of curios and exotic artefacts, a wonderful assault on the senses!

We visit the Durban Botanical Gardens, founded in 1849 and hosts around 500,000 visitors annually. Classic botanic gardens with a huge diversity of plants, the gardens boast a Visitors complex that has a gift shop, information office and an education centre, surrounded by an indigenous garden. The gardens also have a wide variety of bird life which can be seen around the lake area and a visit to the world renowned Orchid House is highly recommended.

Our vehicles are fully insured and our passengers are covered by passenger liability cover.
