The show was interesting and original and the food was good, being the new years special edition I assume it was not the standard menu, but still I believe it was significantly overpriced for local patrons.

Kaapse Stories was the best value for money event on my recent visit to Cape Town. The story as told by Joe was interesting and gave a sense of the "bad old days" of South African history. The singers were fantastic as were the two musicians. The only disappointment is that there weren't enough Kaapse songs such as Alibama, Sarie Marais and minstrel style music. The food was great and our particular dietary needs were well catered for. This is a must do for all visitors to the Cape.
