More about Swartberg Hiking Trail

Get out into nature on an eight-hour guided hike through the awe-inspiring Swartberg mountains. Two trails begin at the historical Old Toll House, both of moderate intensity and suitable for intrepid hikers from beginners to advanced. The views you see while hiking in this area are breathtaking.

Your eco-guide will point out the fascinating geological sights and tell you more about the diverse, unusual flora in the area known as fynbos. You may even see eagles, buzzards and the tiny, elusive antelope, the klipspringer. Step back in time while hiking these ancient hills near Oudtshoorn.
