More about Whale Watching Close Encounter

There is simply no other whale watching experience in Knysna that can compare to this one. As the official whale watching permit holder, we can get closer to these awe-inspiring ocean creatures than anyone else. So if you want a truly remarkable whale watching encounter, this is the only option.

Dolphins, sharks, seals and sea birds may also be seen on this whale watching activity that takes place between July and November. This exclusive, guided experience is for no more than 12 guests, features a wealth of information and a delicious snack platter. The trip is weather dependent.

Opinions On Whale Watching Close Encounter

What the locals say about Whale Watching Close Encounter.

Patrick Madden

A great experience and a great captain! Highly recommended, although quite expensive.

Rob Scott

Nobody's fault really - when trying to watch wild animals you have to accept that they may not be working to your agenda! Saw 1 dolphin and 1 seal, fog came down and had a rather exciting entry back through Knsyna Heads riding the crest of the wave and zero visibility. Still waiting to see a whale!!!

Marius Claassen

Great experience. Excellent Skipper and no effort spared to ensure excellent sightings.

Lauren Tee

A truly wonderful, once in a lifetime experience!
