Learn, play and stay. We provide experiential learning for school groups, youth clubs, tertiary students and educators of all kinds. Come to our base in the Vredefort Dome, just over an hour from Johannesburg, for workshops, classes and exciting outdoor activities.
With its river, mountains and fascinating origins, the Dome is the ideal outdoor classroom. We integrate the learning adventures with curricula in geography, history, physics, ecology and life skills. Hiking, rafting, abseiling, map reading & navigation, and Vredefort Dome tours are all options. Do a half day, full day or two or more days.
Our instructors are professional educators, and our tour guides are qualified legally and officially registered. No previous experience is required to join us in activities and we take account of the ages and capabilities of learners. Educators should outline their objectives, tell us what Grade Level and ages the learners are, and let us know what resources they require.
We customize the program to suit you and issue a quote, with substantial discounts for groups. Book early to avoid disappointment because our calendar fills up quickly every year.
Your hosts are Prof Graeme Addison, author and tourist guide trainer, and his wife Karen, former teacher and manager of Otters Haunt. Other specialists are involved to meet your needs.
