Hanspeter Cycadeles tours

Dear Jeffrey and Team at Durban Green Corridor, My clients from Switzerland enjoyed the visit to the iSithumba village in the valley of thousand hills on Monday 1 August 2016. It gave them a good insight of a very vibrant semi rural environment in Zululand in close vicinity of a large harbor city such us Durban. In their words it was a special and unique and impressive experience. The visit to the spiritual healer was somewhat brief and unfortunately the healer was out of house and interaction between the healer and the visitors was not possible. I left the valley under the impression, that the visits by foreigners may cause some kind of uneasy feelings among the so important and respectful local traditional stake holders. Perhaps the visit by foreigner groups is perceived as a kind of intrusion into the valley social fabric? We wish to respect the iSithumba's people fine traditional living style and may rather not embark on valley tours involving visits to the Induna's home and Spiritual healer or Inyanga's homes in future. The touristic intrusion may in fact destroy the fine functioning traditional institutional structures in the valley? Kind regards Hanspeter Graber Cycadales Tours

Compared to pheZulu it is much better. It is more down to earth and more realistic. It comes across as the genuine Zulu traditional way of life be it in the modern era, but it inside the Valley of 1000Hills. Geoffrey was an excellent guide. He was on time, very pleasant and knowledgeable. His presentation and methodology was very good. The walk was not too strenuous and the members of public that the group came across were accommodating of us. There was a breakdown from an administration point of view. After my initial meeting with Geoffrey, I was told that I would be contacted re confirmation and payment. This did not happen. The day before I phoned to confirm and nothing had been done. On the day Geoffrey phoned me to ask if I was still coming. Geoffrey had E-mailed me confirmation and had a cc on that E-Mail to HQ. It all ended up OK but communication of payment and confirmation need to be more precise. Thanks to Geoffrey for a very worthwhile exercise.

The Kaleidoscope of SA African Nature, Impressive Scenery and Culture Dr and Mrs Naumann from Berlin in Germany were over whelmed by the beauty, cultural plurality, nature and friendliness of the different SA folks. They wished they could have spend more time at all their planned visiting places and interaction with the local people. They left the Isithumba village with much touching impressions of the warm welcome they received by the local residence in the valley.
