Go on an exciting guided underground tour of the working Cullinan Diamond Mine near Pretoria. You will be taken almost a kilometer under the surface with a lift where you will discover a fascinating experience. The tour is suitable for guests 16 years and older, lasts 4 hours and can be enjoyed all year round. After visiting the mine, you will get the opportunity to visit the Cullinan Diamond Mine market for an unforgettable diamond and jewelry shopping experience.
The Cullinan Diamond Mine is renowned as a source of large, high-quality gem diamonds, including Type II stones. It is also the world’s most important source of very rare blue diamonds.
Cullinan earned its place in history with the discovery of the Cullinan diamond in 1905, the largest rough gem diamond ever found at 3,106 carats, which was cut to form the two most important diamonds in the British Crown Jewels. Many of the world’s most famous diamonds herald from Cullinan, and it continues to produce world-class diamonds under Petra’s stewardship.

Nice tour. Experience the mine while the miners are working. Go down more than 700 m under and pick your chance to spot a diamond into the raw kimberlite. You will enjoy as i did.

It has been a very interesting tour, well organized with a professional teacher/tutor, I discovered something that was completely new and inimmaginabile before Now I can understand the reason why the diamonds prices are so "expensive" !!! From Italy I wish you all the best for the incoming Christmas seasons, Kind regards, Ignazio
