The poetic pairing of Shiraz and Charcuterie has long been celebrated, and notably so at Anthonij Rupert Estate in Franschhoek, which also hosts the annual Shiraz & Charcuterie Festival in May each year.
Charcuterie’s salty, aromatic flavors and sweet, rich fattiness are naturally complemented by the typically bright acidity, bold fruitiness, and spiciness of outstanding Shiraz wines - a partnership which this tasting experience aims to highlight.

We were greeted with a hearty welcome and send to explore with some bubbly in hand . Soon we were perusing the beautiful restaurant and making our way to our tasting experience. The service was very good and we had a lovely morning. The ladies that attended to us were professional and friendly.

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish! So much so that we went on to have the cheese platters too. Service was so professional & knowledgeable and our lady was a trainee yet knew so much about the wines. Also the teamwork was excellent. We will be returning soon.
