Lindfield House is a living museum, showing what life was like in the Victorian era with Katharine Love, who still lives in the house, as your tour guide. There are 22 rooms that make up the house and you can visit 18 rooms that are open to the public. These include all the principal reception rooms, the gentlemen's library, the ladies' drawing-room, music room, formal dining room, children's dining room, as well as the bedrooms, children's nursery, bathrooms, kitchen, and pantry. The original cottage was designed by Sir Herbert Baker, who dominated the architectural scene in South Africa from 1892 - 1912, so this tour is perfect for architecture and history fans.
